About Hazelnuts

Organic Hazelnuts 13-15mm are natural, whole hazelnuts that contain no added salt, sugar, oil, or fat. These hazelnuts are also referred to as whole filberts or whole kernels, derived from French settlers who introduced the filbert tree in England.

The size of this product, as the digits in the product name suggest, is 11-13mm. There are different types of hazelnuts across the world and we offer whole organic hazelnuts grown in Turkey and Georgia. this particular product is from Turkey. 

 

This product ships from our New Jersey warehouse and has its origin in Turkey. Customers can choose from one of the following shipping options:

• 1 carton = 22lbs
• 1 pallet = 52 cartons, which equals 1,146 lbs (52 cartons x 22 lbs)

Turkey and Georgia Hazelnuts

More than 70% of the world's hazelnuts are grown in Turkey as the climatic conditions in the Black Sea are ideal for growing hazelnuts.   

When organic hazelnuts are completely ripe and have fallen to the ground, they are then gathered, washed, dried, and quite frequently shelled.  When roasted, they are rubbed vigorously in a cloth while they are still hot to remove their thin brown skin. 

Application

Our natural hazelnuts are round and crunchy in texture.  They are mildly creamy and sweet in flavor that are often used in snacking nuts, chocolates, bars, baked goods, and candies.

• Industrial applications: used in confectionery to make praline and truffles.
• Others: Hazelnut oil is used as a cooking oil.

Organic hazelnuts are vegetarian and vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and processed in an allergen-free facility.  We also offer certified halal and kosher options.
